SystemImager le permite crear imágenes de sus instalaciones Linux. Para ello, es necesario un servidor de imágenes (debería haber suficiente espacio en disco para almacenar imágenes) y un cliente cliente denominado "golden" (es decir, el sistema del que desea hacer una imagen). Esto significa que usted tiene que instalar algún software en el servidor de imágenes y en el de su cliente "golden" para ejecutar SystemImager. Este tutorial muestra cómo instalar un servidor SystemImager y un cliente, ambos usando Ubuntu 8.10, y cómo: crear/actualizar/restablecer/ borrar imágenes.
SystemImager lets you create images of your Linux installations. To do so, you need an image server (should have enough disk space to store your images) and a so-called golden client (i.e., the system of which you want to make an image). This means that you have to install some software on your image server and on your golden client in order to run SystemImager. This tutorial shows how to install a SystemImager server and a SystemImager client, both using Ubuntu 8.10, and how to create/update/restore/delete images.
